Lee Townsend is an independent music producer, manager for guitarist Bill Frisell and owner of Songline / Tone Field Productions, specializing in recordings of singer-songwriters, contemporary composers, improvising musicians and cross-cultural musical collaborations.

There are three new albums out now that Lee Townsend produced. The first is the self-titled record by a fine young singer-songwriter named Jonah Smith. The second is by the Boston-based band, Crooked Still entitled 'Shaken By A Low Sound.' The third is a record by the Argentine singer-songwriter Gabriela entitled 'El VIaje.' Lee also produced the new Bill Frisell CD which will be released on August 29th.
